Hi Friends,
We wanted to share a quick update from the Lamorinda Care Collective.
Due to some unexpected building maintenance, our shop will be temporarily closed to shoppers over the next several weeks. While we’re disappointed to pause operations for a bit, we’re grateful for the opportunity to make some needed improvements to our space and look forward to welcoming everyone back in early August.
Our volunteer team is already gearing up for back-to-school season, and we’re excited to reopen and support local families as they prepare for the new school year.
If your family has an urgent need while we’re closed, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at LamorindaCareCollective@gmail.com. Although our doors may be closed temporarily, our commitment to serving our community remains the same, and we’ll do our best to help source the items you need.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. We are continually inspired by the generosity of this community and can’t wait to see you again soon.
With gratitude,
The Lamorinda Care Collective Volunteer Team

Hello! What items are most needed for back to school? Backpacks?
Hi Care Collective ladies, a bunch of us were wondering what all in heck happened on Tuesday; we arrived at 4pm and the place was dark, but there had been no announcement nor any signs posted that you would be closed. Some people came to donate, and at least two other people other than me showed up in need of stuff. It would be really helpful in tfhe future if you guys coordinated to have someone go put a sign on the door and/or give a heads up here in the substack that you would be closed. This new post comes after the fact. I drove an hour round trip on Tuesday and I am having hard time even paying for car fuel these days. Thanks for understanding.
